lineman posted: During our latest Bible study we were talking about righteousness through faith in Jesus. And we were trying to understand what, if any, works had to do with things because Paul says that faith without works is dead. We all know that Jesus has told us that without Him we can not do ANYTHING . We also know that with Him we can do ALL things .An illustration someone brought up was very instrumental in helping me understand this whole topic, and I want to share a little of what I learned from this.We talked about and batted around as a group the idea of us being much like a dirty window that is located on the 15th floor. Without Jesus, when we try to clean our window all we have to clean with are dirty rags and filthy water, which of course only leaves the window a little better...
