I had a dream the other night. I mulled it over and over until suddenly I realized it was about The Judgment! I am not a great one to pick apart theological doctrines, I just look for the basic articles of the accepted creeds, especially the Trinity. I put up my little antenna for anything "off." I try to test everything by scripture. I look for something real happening in spiritual life: is the Holy Spirit at work here, with His fluttering wings, shy like a dove, or exploding like dynamite?
I do not preoccupy myself with eschatology! So when I had this dream, my mind did not immediately understand what it was about. When I finally did understand, it surprised me, surprises me still how counter-intuitive it is to all the usual understandings of The Judgment. No sturm und drang. Here is the dream:
